PONS NOT ONLY HERD, BUT  BARN HUNT

Some dog  breeds were once used to help keep the barns free from vermin.  The object of the barn hunt is to continue this tradition and what is for some breeds most natural.    While most often thought of as belonging to some of the terrier breeds, it is now been shown true that certain other breeds such as the Polish Lowland Sheepdog  can excel at this as well.

The rats used are kept in very safe containers  and are only used a few times before they are given rest.   It appears that this is something the PON may well excel in and it was  found to be very exciting to watch a PON  think and figure out exactly what has to be done.

It is something that requires both natural instinct and training.   If you want something new and different to try with your Polish Lowland Sheepdog give some thought to trying out this new activity!
